Christine aka Chrissy

Common Threads started in 2014 when a dear friend suggested I start a sale in my area. "Too busy," I said - 4 kids, homeschooling, and active life. However, the idea wouldn't let me alone. So here we are, growing with each sale. I feel blessed to work with so many incredible women through this neat avenue! Join us and see if it isn't fun and profitable!!

My Family

Initially, when we started Common Threads, our family was in the process of adopting our daughter, Kyley, from China. Abandoned due to a severe heart condition, Kyley came to us with a very dire outlook health-wise. However, with much support from family, friends, Common Threads, and an excellent surgeon from The Children's Hospital in Boston, Kyley is doing so well! Heart repaired and vibrant. Watch out. She will soon be running the cash register! :)

Common Threads is a family business. So if you notice any handsome young men or ladies running check-out, they're probably mine!! :)
Team Thread

TEAM THREAD is a group of women that amazes us each sale. They are the consignors, grandmas, vendors, and friends that join in the leg-work of running the sale. One of the awesome perks of running Common Threads is how it brings hundreds of women together that don't usually rub shoulders but share so many "common threads"! It's genuinely neighbors helping neighbors.

Behind the Scenes

ABOUT US

Common Threads mission statement

Give, Serve, Encourage

To serve families by providing reasonably priced, excellent quality children's apparel and other paraphernalia that children need as they grow. In addition, we hope to encourage parents to rear the next generation by helping to supplement incomes by providing an outlet to sell pre-owned children's things. Also, Common Threads is excited to help the community with the items that are donated. For each sale, Common Threads consignors give hundreds of items to local clothing banks after the sale. Currently, we partner with the Manna Outreach and the Giving Closet of Union County.
